WhatsApp’s Multi-Account Feature is Coming to iPhone
iPhone users will soon be able to run multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device. This feature, already available on Android since 2023, has been spotted in the latest iOS beta version (25.2.10.70), simplifying the management of personal and professional accounts without the need for additional devices or apps.
The update will allow users to seamlessly switch between accounts, eliminating the hassle of using workarounds like WhatsApp Business.
How Will This Feature Work?
The ability to add multiple accounts within the same WhatsApp app marks a major improvement for iPhone users. Until now, those needing more than one account had to rely on separate apps or external tools.
With this new update, users will be able to set up and switch between accounts easily from the app’s settings. The setup process will offer two options:
✔ Create a new account – Set up a fresh account from scratch.
✔ Link an existing account via QR code – Scan a QR code from another device to sync an additional account.
Both options provide flexibility, ensuring users can manage their accounts efficiently without confusion.
Independent Notifications & Chats for Each Account
Each WhatsApp account will function independently, meaning:
✅ Chats, notifications, and backups will remain separate.
✅ Custom settings can be applied individually for each account.
✅ No need for third-party apps like WhatsApp Business.
However, users must have a second phone number to activate another account, which can be achieved through dual-SIM devices or eSIM technology.
When Will This Feature Be Available?
Currently in the beta phase, the feature is expected to roll out soon to all iOS users. WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, is conducting tests to ensure functionality and fix any bugs before the official release.
Once launched, iPhone users will finally have parity with Android, where multi-account support has been available since 2023.
